Christmas in February 2026!
What a fabulous Christmas party we had this year!
This year we had the local high school choir sing Christmas songs as we entered the hall, it set the afternoon off to the perfect start. As ‘Silent night’ was being sung in the background, we took our seats and settled in for an absolutely delicious meal of Roast Chicken and vegetables or vegetarian lasagne.
The conversation flowed easily and all we could hear was laughter and chatter from around the room. Not long after we finished our meals, the singer came on and the party really started!
The dancefloor was packed for the next few hours with us all dancing along to ‘Abba’ and ‘Elvis’, swinging our dance partners and encouraging everyone else to the dance floor.
The afternoon ended with Christmas presents being handed out to take home and enjoy.

Thank you for our Christmas Treat
Well planned with fun and food to eat
The High School girls were in good voice
And sang a Christmas Carol choice
The soup and chicken, soft to chew
And tongues soon wagged with neighbours too.
The solo singer gave the chance
With tunes to help ‘let go’ and dance
With ‘walkers’ or with helping hands
To come alive and feel just grand
Then lovely presents for us all
A lovely time, we’ve had a ball
The taxi’s come from door to door
Could anybody ask for more?
