Rabbie Burns
This Burns Night 2026, we thought we’d have a wee bit of fun and give our best shot at the Rabbie Burns poem, ‘ A Mans’ ‘A Man’.
Despite living most his life as a farmer, Rabbie Burns wrote over 700 poems. He died at aged 37 and the first ever ‘Burns Night’ was held in 1801, when his friends gathered to make the 5th anniversary of his passing.
We spent the last few weeks collecting videos and giggling a lot at the various attempt at old Scots words and accents.
So here it is, staff, befrienders and befriendees reciting some of our National Poet, Rabbie Burns!
