National Befriending Week 1st - 7th November 2024

EDBS were delighted to participate in National Befriending Week 2024, not only to raise awareness for volunteering with EDBS, but to focus on thanking our current volunteers .

The team were busy raising awareness in their respective areas, Kirkintilloch and surrounding villages; Bishopbriggs; Bearsden and Milngavie.

They visited libraries, supermarkets, and local hall venues. To round off the week, they held an afternoon with the volunteers having a cuppa and nibbles, during which the Befriending team were able to express their gratitude.

It was a wonderful time to gain feedback and hear what they gained from their befriending role and allowed the team to share with them feedback and appreciation from those they befriend.
